"This is… "
Feeling an invisible soul force vibrating, it directly broke through the soul suppression of the Illusion Sky Sword, and Yang Qi's eyes could not help but focus. Although the Illusion Sky Sword was an illusion, it was essentially the use of soul means. It was not surprising that Baili Xiang could break it, but the means by which Baili Xiang broke it were actually somewhat similar to those of the Illusion Sky Sword.
Of course, this does not mean that Baili Xiang also used illusion means, but that he used soul means to break through the suppression of the illusion. In other words, the illusion could not affect the void near Baili Xiang at all, which was equivalent to forming an isolation zone near Baili Xiang.
Buzz~Buzz~
After breaking free from the illusion suppression of the Phantom Sky Sword, Baili Xiang did not hesitate to launch a soul attack directly towards Yang Qi.
"What's going on?"
"Why don't they fight?"
"Are you planning to just keep on being in a stalemate?"
In front of the arena, countless practitioners were stunned when they saw the two figures confronting each other on the arena. Yang Qi and Baili Xiang had been on the arena for some time, but during this time, the two had no intention of fighting at all.
Soul attacks are isolated by the protective formation. After all, under soul attacks, the pure soul power may cause damage to practitioners outside the protective formation, and the power of Yuanli can also be felt by practitioners outside the arena. Therefore, the fight between Yang Qi and Baili Xiang at the soul level could not be noticed by the practitioners watching the fight.
"It's not that they didn't fight, but they were competing in soul methods!"
There were quite a few practitioners present, including some powerful ones. Through the situation on the arena and the methods used by Yang Qi and Baili Xiang, they soon realized that Yang Qi and Baili Xiang were fighting at the soul level.
Soul level
When these words were spoken, many practitioners were stunned at first, but then they understood that it was just that the protective formation blocked the power of the soul. They were outside the arena and could not feel the power of the soul at all. For them, the fight between the two was the same as no fight at all.
On the high platform, Xueluo's face also had a bitter smile. He was very clear about the situation in the ring, after all, he controlled the protection formation of the ring. However, in this battle, the two people competed with their souls. For the spectators, they could not see or feel the fight between the two.
"The means used by practitioners in competition are no longer restricted." Xuelu let out a light sigh.
If the arena competition restricts some commonly used means, it will be an asymmetric competition. Therefore, in the arena battle, in addition to restricting some special external means, the means of the practitioners' own strength are not restricted. Even corpse puppets, insects and beasts can be used as their own means for competition, let alone soul means
It was just a simple competition of soul means like this, which was rarely simple even for Blood Skull who had practiced for so many years. He didn't expect it to happen right before his eyes this time.
The practitioners outside the ring could not feel the fight between Yang Qi and Baili Xiang at all, but in the void, terrible soul storms continued to spread. Yang Qi and Baili Xiang's soul methods kept colliding, either attacking or defending, and each move was extremely dangerous. After all, this involved the most fundamental soul of living beings.
Buzz~Buzz~
The void continued to vibrate, and the surrounding scenery changed accordingly. Even in Baili Xiang's eyes, Yang Qi's figure had completely disappeared.
Relying on his powerful soul and the combination of illusion and swordsmanship, even without using his energy, Yang Qi's soul attack was extremely powerful, and Baili Xiang had a hard time defending against it.
"I didn't expect that Baili Xiang's soul skills are so powerful."
With the constant collision of soul levels, Yang Qi also discovered that Baili Xiang’s soul means were endless. Although his soul strength was not as good as his, he was able to withstand his soul attacks by relying on his exquisite soul means.
The collision of their souls was like a competition between a powerful practitioner and a practitioner who was good at techniques. Yang Qi was able to defeat Baili Xiang with his brute force, while Baili Xiang was able to overcome his opponent with his little skill.
In order to avoid hurting Baili Xiang's soul as much as possible, Yang Qi could only continuously increase the power of his soul attack. As the power of Yang Qi's soul attack continued to increase, Baili Xiang's pressure became greater and greater, and his own energy was rapidly consumed.
This invisible fight lasted for an unknown amount of time. Baili Xiang's face began to turn pale, a symptom of excessive energy consumption.
"Brother Yang, you can stop now." Baili Xiang said weakly.
Wow~
Following Baili Xiang's call to stop, Yang Qi immediately withdrew the Fantasy Sky Sword and the soul attack, and Baili Xiang was completely freed from the soul attack.
Baili Xiang looked at Yang Qi and said hesitantly, "Brother Yang, although I lost to you in the contest of soul means, I don't know if there is something I should say."
"Um?"
Yang Qi was stunned, his eyes fell on Baili Xiang, and then he smiled calmly and said, "Brother Baili, you can say whatever you want."
"In the competition with Brother Yang in soul methods, I found that Brother Yang relies more on force to defeat skill. Although his soul realm is high, his soul methods seem to be too few." Baili Xiang said.
Baili Xiang lost the competition to Yang Qi, but he gave advice to the winner Yang Qi, which was why Baili Xiang hesitated before. This fight helped him, but he also found Yang Qi's shortcomings in the soul. However, he was not sure whether Yang Qi would be willing to listen to such things from a defeated general like him.
Hearing Baili Xiang's words, Yang Qi couldn't help but fall silent. Although Baili Xiang spoke in a tactful way, what he actually meant was that Yang Qi's soul methods were basically based on the strength of his soul which far exceeded that of practitioners of the same level, but when it came to the actual use of soul power, he seemed very superficial.
In fact, even if Baili Xiang didn't say it, Yang Qi himself could feel it. Baili Xiang's soul strength was not as good as his, but relying on the exquisite use of soul power, he could deal with him. If it were Yang Qi himself, he would never be able to do this.
This situation is somewhat similar to Cao Xin's situation in the path of ice. Although his realm is high enough, he is unable to convert it into actual combat power. This is also Yang Qi's obvious shortcoming in the path of soul. If he can use the power of soul to the same extent as Baili Xiang, the power of soul attack will definitely be improved again.
"Thank you, Brother Baili, for your advice. In fact, I also realized this during this fight." Yang Qi nodded slightly.
Phew~
Hearing this, Baili Xiang was relieved. It seemed a bit ridiculous for a defeated general to talk about bravery, but fortunately Yang Qi listened to him, so Baili Xiang returned a favor to Yang Qi.
"The field attack that Brother Yang performed before, which combined illusion and soul means, was very powerful. If it continues to go deeper, it may be an extremely terrifying soul method." Baili Xiang admired sincerely.
At first, he thought that Yang Qi was only using a domain-type soul method, but after fighting for a long time, he also discovered that it was not just a domain-type soul attack method, but also contained illusion methods, which was an extremely sophisticated method of using the soul.
