If he tried to rescue him, Yang Qi would inevitably come into contact with the Three Star Martial Emperor. Although the other party might not be able to discover his identity, it would ultimately increase the risk of being exposed.
Once exposed, with Yang Qi's strength, it would be impossible for him to withstand the siege of the Long family's practitioners in the Martial Tomb. Not taking action is undoubtedly the best approach that suits Yang Qi's interests.
Yang Qi's eyes flickered as he thought rapidly in his mind, "Should I save him or not?"
"Brother, save me!"
At this moment, the three-star Martial Emperor asked for help again. Although he tried his best to escape, he was still being caught up by the strange beast. Once caught up, he would be no match for the strange beast with his strength.
"save!"
As the cry for help came again, Yang Qi showed a bitter smile on his face, but he had already made a decision in his heart.
Yang Qi sneaked into the Wu Tomb secretly, originally to spy on other people's inheritance. If he did not save the person from death, it would be completely contrary to his Taoism. Once he did not stick to his Taoism for the sake of his own practice, he would eventually become a demon who pursued strength at all costs.
Yang Qi has his own persistence, and he knows what he should and shouldn't do. He would never spy on other people's inheritance and then watch them die without helping them.
Whoosh~
Wanting to get here, Yang Qi flashed and immediately flew towards the location of the three-star Martial Emperor.
Although he decided to save the three-star Martial Emperor, he did not intend to fully expose his own strength. After all, dealing with a strange beast with less than five-star Martial Emperor strength did not require him to go all out.
Yang Qi flew by, and in the blink of an eye he saw the fleeing Three Star Martial Emperor. Thousands of feet behind him was a gigantic alien beast, which was the lizard-like beast that Yang Qi encountered at the beginning.
Whoosh~
Yang Qi moved his hand, and a sharp black sword light burst out from his hand and slashed towards the strange beast.
Poof!
The black sword light slashed down on the strange beast, and bright red blood splashed everywhere, leaving a huge sword mark directly on the strange beast.
Seeing Yang Qi easily injure the alien beast, the three-star martial emperor who was fleeing for his life could not help but be delighted. He only sensed Yang Qi's breath, but could not sense Yang Qi's cultivation. Facing an alien beast with a strength close to the level of a five-star martial emperor, he was not sure whether Yang Qi had the ability to save him, so he could only grasp the last straw. Now that Yang Qi had arrived, he directly injured the alien beast, and it was obvious that he had the ability to deal with the alien beast.
The three-star Martial Emperor looked at Yang Qi and thought to himself, "His strength is probably close to that of a six-star Martial Emperor."
The body of the strange beast is very strong. If a cultivator with similar strength relies solely on his energy, it would be extremely difficult to deal with the strange beast. Yang Qi can easily injure the strange beast, so his cultivation must be higher than that of the strange beast.
“Roar~”
The strange beast roared in pain, gave up chasing the three-star Martial Emperor, and rushed towards Yang Qi.
Whoosh~
Facing the beast, Yang Qi did not retreat but went forward to meet it, and in an instant, he was fighting with the beast. Yang Qi's strength was obviously above that of the beast, and as soon as the two sides fought, he suppressed the beast tightly, and the beast's injuries became more and more serious, and was finally killed by Yang Qi.
With Yang Qi's strength, he could easily kill the strange beast in front of him. However, in order not to expose his identity and arouse suspicion, Yang Qi simply suppressed his strength to a level close to that of an ordinary six-star Martial Emperor.
The three-star martial emperor looked at the dead beast, and then he came to Yang Qi and said with gratitude, "My name is Long Lin. Thank you for your help, brother."
"You're welcome. We are both from the Long family. It's only natural for us to help each other." Yang Qi said calmly, then looked at Long Lin and said, "Are your injuries okay?"
Long Lin was not only being chased by the strange beast, but he also had injuries on his body. This was something Yang Qi discovered when he saw Long Lin. If he really didn't take action, Long Lin would probably die.
"It's just a loss of vitality, nothing serious." Long Lin smiled calmly, then looked at Yang Qi and said, "I haven't asked for your name yet, brother?"
"Long Qi!"
Yang Qi said calmly.
Long Lin was slightly stunned. As far as he could remember, there was no cultivator from the Long family he knew named Long Qi.
However, this time when entering the Wu Tomb, members of the Long family from all over the Longwu Dynasty had sent people here, including some branches that were practicing in seclusion, or some branches that were not very famous. He did not know many of the practitioners, so it was not surprising that he did not know Long Qi.
From the moment he gave his name, Yang Qi had been secretly observing Long Lin's expression. He was relieved to find that Long Lin was only slightly stunned, and then recovered. It was obviously impossible for Long Lin to know him, but the other party didn't seem to think much about it, which made Yang Qi feel relieved.
Yang Qi looked at Long Lin in front of him and asked casually, "By the way, why are you here alone and being hunted?"
Although Long Lin was a 3-star Martial Emperor in the middle stage, it was still very dangerous for him to venture into the Martial Tomb alone with such strength. During this period, the strange beasts that Yang Qi encountered were all low- to mid-level Martial Emperors, but even with these strange beasts, Long Lin could only protect himself for no more than 50%. With Long Lin's strength, if he ventured alone, the danger could be imagined, and he obviously had companions.
Hearing this, Long Lin smiled bitterly and said, "I was exploring with a few companions before, but we accidentally attracted a few violent demon lizards. We were no match for them, so we had to scatter and flee."
I see!
Yang Qi was not surprised to hear Long Lin's explanation. There were only two possibilities for Long Lin to escape alone when he had companions with him. Either Long Lin was abandoned by the team, or he encountered a danger that the team could not resist and had to flee separately.
Practitioners who can travel together are often those who have a close relationship with each other, and the possibility of being abandoned is not great. The only explanation is that they encountered irresistible danger and fled for their lives in different places.
"The violent demon lizard has a strong body and is indeed not easy to deal with." Yang Qi nodded slightly.
He didn't know the name of the strange beast before, so he didn't mention it. But now he learned from Long Lin that the lizard-like beast was called the Violent Demon Lizard, so he naturally used it immediately.
"It is indeed not easy to kill the violent demon lizard, but with the strength of Brother Long Qi, it is not too difficult to kill such a demon lizard." Long Lin said with a little envy. The violent demon lizard that chased him so hard that he could hardly escape fell into Yang Qi's hands and was killed in a moment. This is the difference.
In the Martial Tomb, some powerful descendants of the Long family can venture out alone, but for the middle and low-level Martial Emperors, they can only join forces.
Seeing this, Yang Qi couldn't help but smile and said, "You don't have to envy me. I just practiced for longer than you. When you grow up, it will not be difficult to deal with such a violent demon lizard."
Long Lin nodded. Those who could enter the Martial Tomb were all the best among their peers in the Long family. Not to mention reaching the Martial Emperor realm, but it was not difficult to step into the high-level Martial Emperor realm. (To be continued)
