Controlled by the insect beast
Yang Qi's face darkened. The figure that was attacking Pang Xuan had a very strong breath of life, indicating that he was a living cultivator. However, the other party's actions were obviously abnormal. Apart from being controlled by the insect beast, there was no other reasonable explanation.
The appearance of the corpses of insect beasts in the Martial Emperor realm will indeed cause a lot of trouble!
Yang Qi sighed slightly in his heart. The Soul-Eating Insect was already quite difficult to deal with, but he didn't expect that now there would be another cultivator controlled by the insect beast!
Because of the sudden attack of the figure, Pang Xuan had to give up the plan to go to help Yang Qi and focus on dealing with the controlled cultivator. Almost in an instant, Pang Xuan and the green beetle started fighting with the figure.
While Pang Xuan was fighting with the figure, Yang Qi was also frantically attacking the Soul Devouring Insect. The Soul Devouring Insect could not escape for a while and could only passively take the beating.
Squeak! Squeak!
As its vitality quickly drained away, the Soul-Eating Insect let out an unwilling roar, its life force completely dissipated, and it died on the spot.
"Finally dead!"
Looking at the dead Soul-Eating Insect, Yang Qi couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief. With his strength, it took a lot of effort to kill the Soul-Eating Insect. After all, the Soul-Eating Insect itself was good at souls, and the effects of soul methods on it were greatly reduced.
Wow~
Yang Qi moved his hand, and a palm transformed from Yuanli grabbed the corpse of the soul-eating insect and put it into the storage ring.
Boom!
At this moment, a loud noise suddenly came from the distance, and Pang Xuan's figure flew backwards. It was obvious that Pang Xuan was at a disadvantage in the collision with the figure.
Looking at Pang Xuan who was blown away, Yang Qi's eyes fixed on the figure, and he thought to himself, "I didn't expect that after being controlled, the cultivator could still exert such strength."
Judging from the figure's attack, he was only at the mid-stage two-star Martial Emperor level. However, after being controlled by the insect beast, the cultivator was still able to burst out with the strength of a mid-stage two-star Martial Emperor, which was somewhat beyond Yang Qi's expectations.
After all, insect beasts are not cultivators. When they control the bodies of cultivators to fight, it should be impossible for the cultivators to fully exert their strength. However, this is obviously not the case with the cultivator in front of them.
However, Pang Xuan and the green beetle were obviously at a disadvantage at this time, and Yang Qi had no time to think about it. He moved and rushed over to help Pang Xuan.
Um
However, before Yang Qi could make any move, several powerful auras appeared within his perception range.
“It’s them!”
Sensing the slightly familiar breath, Yang Qi's face darkened and his eyes looked into the depths of the black and gray fog.
Whoosh~ Whoosh~
From the depths of the black and grey fog came the sound of rapid breaking through the air. Then, four figures appeared in Yang Qi's sight. They were the four people from the Wanshou Sect who had had a dispute with him before.
"You guys again?"
When Yang Qi discovered the four opponents, the man in brocade clothes who was leading the group also discovered Yang Qi and Pang Xuan, and his face suddenly darkened.
At the same time, a cultivator saw the figure fighting with Pang Xuan and said with surprise, "Brother, it's a soul-eating insect!"
Soul-eating bug
Yang Qi raised his eyebrows. He didn't know much about insect beasts and didn't know what the insect beast that controlled the cultivator was. However, the cultivator from the Ten Thousand Beasts Sect helped him to solve the problem.
"It's actually a soul-eating insect. This is an extremely rare insect beast. Not only is it good at souls, it can also control practitioners at the Martial Emperor level." The man in brocade clothes said with a slightly excited look on his face.
Although there are many insect beasts that are good at souls, it is rare to find insect beasts that can control the Martial Emperor Realm, and it is even rarer to find insect beasts that have both abilities. The soul-eating insect in front of him is one of the top insect beasts in the Ten Thousand Immortals Palace!
Yang Qi looked at the four excited practitioners of the Myriad Beast Sect and said coldly, "We were the first to discover the soul-eating insect."
These practitioners from the Myriad Beast Sect treated the Myriad Immortals Mansion as their own back garden. Previously, they wanted to snatch the royal jelly that he had discovered, and now they were even eyeing the soul-eating insects.
“What you said is not right, fellow Daoist. None of your companions are a match for the Soul-Eating Worm. Even if we don’t take action, you won’t get the Soul-Eating Worm. Instead of letting the Soul-Eating Worm run away, why don’t you give it to us? Consider that I, Moru, owe you a favor.” The leading man in brocade clothes looked at Yang Qi and said.
Previously, when the Ten Thousand Beast Sect and the Beast Taming Sect fought, Yang Qi blocked the attack of the two-star martial emperor peak cultivator of the Beast Taming Sect. The man in brocade clothes and others already knew that Yang Qi should not be underestimated. However, they were not afraid of Yang Qi, but the combined strength of Yang Qi and Pang Xuan was not bad. If they forced their move and were blocked by the other party, it would be very likely that the soul-eating insect would escape, and that would be a loss.
It was precisely because of such concerns that Moru took the initiative to speak and humble himself, hoping that Yang Qi would not hinder them from capturing the soul-eating insects.
Hearing this, Yang Qi's eyes narrowed and he said calmly, "Whether we can catch the soul-eating insect is our business, so you don't need to worry about it."
"Your Excellency, are you unwilling to give up the soul-eating insects?" Moru said with a grim expression.
Yang Qi glanced at Molu and smiled coldly, "How ridiculous! If it were you, would you give up?"
"In that case, don't blame us."
Molu's eyes focused, and a strong aura burst out from him. He continued, "Junior Brother Baiwu, I'll leave him to you!"
“Don’t worry, senior brother. A cultivator who doesn’t even have insects or beasts is not worth mentioning at all.” The man with bloodshot eyes on his face said with a chuckle.
Whoosh~ Whoosh~
The next moment, the four Molu people flashed, three of them rushed towards Pang Xuan, and the other one rushed towards Yang Qi. Although Yang Qi had shown strong strength before, it was not difficult for a two-star mid-stage martial emperor to deal with a martial emperor-level insect beast.
"Since you took the initiative, don't blame me!"
Looking at the four people from Moru who took action, Yang Qi's face darkened, and then the time and space around him changed, turning into a special time, covering Moru and his group of four.
"Is this an illusion?"
Looking at the extremely unfamiliar scene around him, Moru was stunned, but then he rejected this idea because he felt discomfort in his soul.
"It's not an illusion, it's a method that contains the effect of soul suppression." Moru's eyes focused, a flash of inspiration flashed through his mind, and he exclaimed, "This is the virtual world!"
It was no wonder that Molu did not recognize the virtual world at first glance. After all, in the way of insect beasts, there are also many special methods that can produce similar effects. However, Yang Qi did not even have a martial emperor-level insect beast, so it was naturally impossible that he used the means of the insect beast, so it could only be the virtual world.
"I didn't expect that he could actually be a cultivator who could use the Void Realm. Unfortunately, this suppression is nothing to us..." Bai Wu smiled coldly. (To be continued)
