Hearing Yang Qi's words, Mu Xuan was stunned, then shook her head slightly and said, "Of course not."
Although Liu Qi is close to Yang Qi, it is obviously inappropriate for Yang Qi to tell Liu Qi about Yudong's affairs. From the beginning, Mu Xuan had no intention of letting Yang Qi tell Liu Qi about this.
Phew~
Hearing this, Yang Qi couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief. He felt a little reluctant about this kind of thing, but fortunately Mu Xuan didn't intend to let him be the bad guy.
"I just hope that when you see Miss Six, you can remind her subtly, and then when I tell her about this, it won't seem too sudden." Mu Xuan said with a complicated expression.
"I see."
Yang Qi nodded and agreed. Liu Qi would know about Yu Dong's death sooner or later, so he let Liu Qi be mentally prepared in advance so that she would not be unable to bear the blow.
After leaving the restaurant, under the leadership of Mu Xuan, the two rushed towards the Liu family's territory.
Just as Yang Qi and his companions were leaving the restaurant, two practitioners outside the restaurant quietly followed them. One of the practitioners said in a deep voice, "There's one more practitioner!"
"It's okay. He looks like just a high-level emperor. I'll stop him later and you can kill Mu Xuan." The cultivator on the side said indifferently.
Although fighting is prohibited in Yongzhou City, it does not mean that you are absolutely safe in the city. Some practitioners who have life-and-death feuds will still fight even in the city.
The two cultivators in front of him were the ones who received the mission to assassinate Mu Xuan. Since the Zhao family gave birth to an emperor-level expert, the Liu family has been very close to the Zhao family. It is no secret that the fourth son of the Zhao family is pursuing Mu Xuan. Once Mu Xuan and the fourth son of the Zhao family become Taoist partners, the Zhao family is likely to intervene in the affairs of the Liu family. This is obviously not acceptable to the person behind the scenes, so they arranged two cultivators to assassinate Mu Xuan. As long as Mu Xuan dies, the possibility of an alliance between the Liu family and the Zhao family will be greatly reduced.
What the people behind the scenes didn't know was that Zhao Xing had long been stripped of his title of the Fourth Young Master. However, because Zhao Tianba personally took Zhao Xing to plead guilty to Yang Qi and was forgiven by Yang Qi, the news of Zhao Xing's stripping of his title of the Fourth Young Master was still limited to the Zhao family and was not announced to the public. This was also an opportunity given to Zhao Xing by the Zhao family's top brass. If he performed well in the future, his title of the Fourth Young Master would be restored. If he made any mistakes again, the stripping of his title would be announced to the public.
"Um?"
Following Mu Xuan all the way to Liu's house, Yang Qi's brows suddenly frowned. He had already noticed the two high-level emperors who were following them.
"Is it the cultivator who followed Mu Xuan?" Yang Qi's gaze focused, and a gleam of light flashed in his eyes.
He had not come into contact with many practitioners in the God of War Continent, so the chance of being targeted by others was very small. Moreover, the strength he showed in the few times he took action was not something that a high-level emperor could deal with. Even if there were practitioners who wanted to deal with him, they would not just send a high-level emperor. Obviously, the other party's target was not him, but Mu Xuan.
Mu Xuan, who was standing by, also noticed that Yang Qi was acting strange, and couldn't help but ask, "What's wrong?"
"It's okay, I just remembered something." Yang Qi smiled indifferently and had no intention of telling Mu Xuan about this. If Mu Xuan knew about it, she would definitely be on guard. It would be a question whether the two high-level emperors would take action.
They were able to send out two high-level emperors and dared to take action in Yongzhou City. The people behind the two high-level emperors were most likely the ones who were secretly dealing with the Liu family.
Mu Xuan heard this and didn't think much about it. The two of them continued to rush towards the Liu family's territory.
"Why aren't they taking action yet?" As they got closer and closer to the Liu family's territory, Yang Qi discovered that the two high-level emperors still had no intention of taking action, which inevitably surprised him. Could it be that these two high-level emperors were only here to monitor Mu Xuan
"Get started!"
Just as this thought flashed through Yang Qi's mind, the two high-level emperors who had been following him all the way moved, transformed into two figures, and pounced on Yang Qi and Mu Xuan respectively.
The reason why the two high-level emperors chose to take action after getting close to the Liu family was that they wanted to use the opportunity of killing Mu Xuan to tell the Liu family that even in Yongzhou City, near the Liu family, they could still kill people if they wanted.
Whoosh~ Whoosh~
In an instant, two fierce attacks came towards Yang Qi and Mu Xuan.
"not good!"
Feeling the incoming attack, Mu Xuan's face suddenly changed. She had never expected that someone would actually attack her in the city, and the one who attacked her was a high-level emperor.
Buzz~
But at this moment, Mu Xuan had no time to think about it, and hurriedly activated the battle pattern and defended with all her might.
"roll!"
At this moment, a loud shout was heard, and two sharp sword beams burst out from Yang Qi's hands, directly slashing towards the two high-level emperors. The person who made the move was Yang Qi!
Boom! Boom!
The sword light fell, accompanied by two loud noises, and two figures flew backwards and slammed heavily on the wide street.
"this… "
Looking at the two figures flying backwards, Mu Xuan's face showed a hint of disbelief. Facing the attack of the two people, she only had time to activate the battle pattern for defense. Yang Qi actually took direct action to repel the two people
Although Mu Xuan had long known that Yang Qi was a high-level emperor, she had not expected that Yang Qi's strength was so strong. These were not the bandits who attacked them at the beginning, but two high-level emperors!
Whoosh~ Whoosh~
Faced with this sudden scene, the practitioners on the street were stunned at first, and then they reacted and flew away quickly from the area where the two sides were fighting to avoid being affected by the residual power.
"How could it be!"
The two high-level emperors had a look of disbelief on their faces. They suddenly launched an attack, but they were easily defeated? The opponent's strength was obviously far superior to theirs.
"withdraw!"
The two high-level emperors looked at each other, and without any hesitation, they moved and rushed towards the retreating crowd.
Looking at the two high-level emperors who were about to escape, Yang Qi frowned, and a thought flashed through his mind, "If they miss the first strike, they will flee immediately. Are they assassins?"
He originally thought that the one who attacked was the cultivator who attacked the Liu family, but now it seems that the two high-level emperors in front of him are more like killers.
"It's not that easy to leave!"
Yang Qi shouted coldly, raised the Black Phoenix Sword in his hand, and two sharp sword beams immediately shot towards the two high-level emperors.
"not good!"
Feeling the power contained in the incoming sword light, the expressions of the two high-level emperors suddenly changed, and they immediately swung the weapons in their hands to resist with all their strength.
Puff~Puff~
The sharp sword light fell and directly pierced through the bodies of the two men, leaving two transparent holes.
"Peak Emperor!" The two high-level emperors' faces changed drastically. The strength Yang Qi showed had already reached the peak emperor level. They never thought that this cultivator who looked like a high-level emperor was actually a peak emperor. (To be continued)
