Seeing that Morton agreed so easily, Yang Qi couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief. After all, this kind of thing was a secret operation, and Morton was a practitioner of the Qingyuan Sect after all, so he might not agree to it. Fortunately, Morton finally agreed.
"I have contacted my familiar peers and asked them to enter the secret realm to take care of Lan Xingyue and ensure that she can pass the test of this melee." Morton looked at Yang Qi and said.
Although Morton is a three-star martial emperor, he is the three-star martial emperor of Qingyuan Sect. The middle-level martial emperors within the Qingyuan Sect have to give him some face. Naturally, no one will refuse this little thing. After all, during the melee, the practitioners of the six major forces will generally choose to join forces. At that time, it will only be one more Lan Xingyue joining the team.
Upon hearing this, Yang Qi bowed slightly and said, "Thank you, Brother Mo."
"Actually, I thought that Brother Xuxing would propose conditions that are beneficial to him, but I didn't expect that you would ask me to help Lan Xingyue." Morton looked at Yang Qi with a little curiosity.
Yang Qi hadn't contacted him for such a long time, and he had some guesses about Yang Qi's thoughts. However, the conditions Yang Qi offered did not involve himself, but asked him to help Lan Xingyue, which was indeed a little beyond his expectations.
Hearing this, Yang Qi did not hide anything and spoke directly, "Speaking of which, the reason why Xuanfeng Valley wanted to deal with Lan Xingyue had a lot to do with me. In addition, she has been practicing with me for such a long time, so she can be considered half of my disciple. I don't want her to die accidentally in the Six Sects Martial Competition."
The reason why Xuanfeng Valley wanted to kill Lan Xingyue was not only because of the hatred between the two sides, but also because of him. Xuanfeng Valley did not dare to seek revenge on him, but Lan Xingyue followed him to practice and was considered half of his disciple. Killing Lan Xingyue was also a way of revenge.
After killing Lan Xingyue in the Six Sects Martial Competition, Yang Qi would never dare to retaliate, because the Six Sects Martial Competition was protected by the six major forces. If they dared to retaliate against other cultivation forces because of the Six Sects Martial Competition, they would be against the six major forces. Not to mention Yang Qi, a low-level Martial Emperor, even a high-level Martial Emperor would not dare to openly go against the six major forces!
"I didn't expect that Brother Xuxing is such a good teacher." Morton said with emotion.
A few years is too short for a Martial Emperor. Yang Qi is willing to ask Lan Xingyue for help. This is definitely not what a senior who simply guides the younger generation in cultivation would do. Obviously, Yang Qi really regards Lan Xingyue as half a disciple.
Hearing this, Yang Qi smiled bitterly and said, "I'm sorry to make you laugh, Brother Mo."
He is not a Martial Emperor in this star field, otherwise it would be easy for him to help Lan Xingyue. Now he can only ask Morton for help to protect Lan Xingyue.
"What's there to be embarrassed about? My life is coming to an end, and the only people I'm worried about are my disciples and Chen Tong." Morton shook his head slightly.
The reason why he wanted to obtain the resources in the ruins was for the benefit of his younger generations. His approach was essentially no different from Yang Qi's.
Although Yang Qi agreed to cooperate with Morton, Morton was not in a hurry to tell Yang Qi about the ruins. The two of them watched the six sects martial arts competition with great interest.
The melee in the Martial King realm was brutal, and although not many practitioners died, practitioners were eliminated every moment. The two Martial King peak practitioners of the Lan family lasted less than half a cup of tea before being eliminated one after another, without even a chance to compete in the points battle.
Morton looked at the gradually stabilized Martial Emperor Realm points ranking and couldn't help but explain, "The Martial Emperor level points battle is mainly to prevent too many practitioners from banding together during a melee. After all, when the Six Sects Martial Competition is held, it is more important to look at the practitioners themselves, rather than the forces behind them."
Because there were too many practitioners participating in the Martial King Realm, a melee broke out at the beginning. In addition, the positions of the practitioners after entering the secret realm were random, so it was not so easy to form a group. However, it was different in the Martial Emperor Realm. If there was a melee at the beginning, it would be easy for the practitioners to form a group. At that time, those practitioners who failed to form a group would naturally be eliminated more easily.
Upon hearing this, Yang Qi nodded without comment. This method certainly suppressed the situation of grouping to a certain extent, but when it came to a melee, the practitioners in the Martial Emperor Realm would still group together.
However, this kind of grouping is no longer a grouping of a certain cultivation force, but an alliance of cultivation forces within the territories of the six major forces. In essence, it is a contest between the six major forces.
Although Lan Xingyue intentionally suppressed some of his strength, he performed well in the points battle and ranked around 100th among the practitioners who passed, which was not low.
When the points battle at the Martial Emperor Realm came to an end, the melee at the Martial King Realm was also coming to an end. Finally, one thousand practitioners would participate in the following points battle and arena battle.
Thanks to Morton's help, as soon as the points battle was over, Qingyuan Sect secretly contacted Lan Xingyue through practitioners and expressed their willingness to form an alliance with her in the melee.
When they entered the secret realm and the melee began, Lan Xingyue relied on her strong strength. Although she encountered some crises before joining other practitioners, they were all resolved. When she joined the practitioners from Qingyuan Sect, Lan Xingyue's safety was also guaranteed.
Morton's eyes fell on the huge phantom, his gaze fixed, and he slowly said, "Brother Xuxing, it seems that Lan Xingyue should have no problem entering the top ten."
From Lan Xingyue's several attacks, Morton also realized that Lan Xingyue indeed had a strength close to the Martial Emperor realm, and it should not be difficult for her to get a top ten result.
"It all depends on what place we can get in the end." Yang Qi said with a smile.
"As far as I know, among the practitioners participating in the Six Sects Martial Competition this time, three have the true strength of the Martial Emperor." Morton glanced at Yang Qi and continued, "With Lan Xingyue's strength, it is impossible for her to be in the top three, but there is some hope for the fifth or sixth place."
As a practitioner of the Qingyuan Sect, Morton has a certain understanding of the strength of the practitioners participating in the Six Sects Martial Competition. Although Lan Xingyue's strength is good, he has no hope of making it into the top three.
Yang Qi heard this but didn't take it seriously and said, "Five or six are enough."
After all, Lan Xingyue did not come from any big cultivation force. If he could achieve such results, it would be rare in the history of the Six Sects Martial Competition and it would definitely be an achievement to be proud of.
Although the three peak martial emperors from Xuanfeng Valley wanted to kill Lan Xingyue secretly, Lan Xingyue had already joined forces with the practitioners from Qingyuan Sect, so the three had no chance to attack and could only watch Lan Xingyue pass through the melee and enter the final round of the ring battle.
