Shrouded Seascape

Chapter 782: Brain

Views:

Charles and Tuba, with serious expressions, had already arrived at the center of the well city. Every time the paper rabbit jumped, it could jump a considerable distance in the air.

He lowered his head and looked at the strange city below. The buildings in the city were very strange. Most of them were not straight, but leaning to one side or the other, as if they were tired of standing and wanted to lie down at any time.

There seemed to be some creatures living in the Well City. These things crawled back and forth like ants. Because the distance was too far, Charles couldn't tell what they were, but they were definitely not human.

"Those are 'them'. 'They' are the indigenous inhabitants of the big tree. They survive by absorbing a little energy emitted from the gods, so they settled here." Tuba explained to Charles.

Charles retracted his gaze and looked into the depths of the well. There was only chaos, and no sign of the central computer. "How long will it take? We have been here for half an hour."

"It's almost there. Let me tell you what you are going to do. When you get there, you need to open your head, dig out your brains, and then throw them over like a grenade."

Tuba's words were light, but Charles almost thought he had heard it wrongly, "What?! Say it again?"

Tuba raised his hand again, looked at the surface of the painting on his right hand, and said nonchalantly: "Why are you panicking? This is not reality. This is another angle. You won't die. You should be more afraid of being erased and replaced here."

Charles recalled his experience. He looked at Tuba carefully for a while, then grabbed the rabbit made of newspaper and continued to jump deeper into the Well City. "I wanted to ask before, what is in my brain? Why can it be used as a weapon against the central computer? There is nothing else in my brain except Anna's tentacles."

Tuba turned his head and looked at him deeply. "Captain, you have experienced a lot in Earthsea. Although you have forgotten some of them, it does not mean that they have disappeared. On the contrary, they are more closely connected to you. Before, they were only outside, but after the Foundation's tossing, they are all inside."

Charles looked down at his chest and asked in confusion, "What are you talking about? Why are you so crazy at this angle?"

Tuba smiled generously, swaying back and forth on the rabbit. "It's okay, I don't know what I'm talking about. This is the good thing about being a lunatic, it's easy and worry-free."

As the two were talking, something emerged from the deepest part of the well. Charles was very surprised when that thing appeared in front of him through the chaos.

From this angle, the central computer is not a brain, but a dark silhouette of a human figure. If I had to use something to compare it, it would be the back of a person.

This is the Foundation's central computer, the former brain of the god Paid. It looks even stranger than Charles imagined.

"Are you sure it's this thing?" Charles looked around at the empty space. Although it was a good thing that the Foundation had no protection here, he still felt uneasy because things were going too smoothly.

"Hey, why are you so slow? Hurry up and throw your head over. They will never think that we will attack at this angle." Tuba grabbed the long ears of the paper rabbit with his hands and stood up from its back.

Charles looked at Tuba in front of him, and all the interactions he had with him flashed through his mind. Finally, he raised his hand and reached into his hair, pulling out the tentacles that served as hair.

Then he put his hands into the back of his head and gently tapped and scratched it. A rotten tofu with holes pierced by the tentacles was held in Charles' palm.

Although I lost my brain, apart from feeling a cool sensation at the back of my head, there was nothing unusual. Tuba was right.

After shaking it with one hand, Charles instantly exerted all the muscles in his arm and threw it hard towards the black shadow in the distance.

Looking at his receding brain, Charles, with an empty head, said in a low voice: "I hope that grave you dug was not for me."

Looking at the brain that was gradually moving away, Tuba first smiled, then laughed loudly and finally laughed wildly, with a smug look on his face.

However, when he saw Charles' expressionless face, the expression on his face instantly disappeared, and he asked in surprise; "Huh? I'm smiling so much like a bad guy, why don't you react, do you have a backup plan?"

"Bad guy? This term is really vague. Are you a bad guy?"

Tuba, who was standing on the rabbit, loosened his legs and sat back on the rabbit's back. He said with regret, "Of course I'm not. I just wanted you to relax, so I was joking."

Charles sighed helplessly, "You are already hundreds of years old, can you be more steady? Is this the time to joke?"

"How long will you live? I tell you, the longer you live, the happier you should be. Only then will your life have meaning. Otherwise, if you live like that guy with the bandage, your life will be completely in vain!"

Just as Tuba was arguing with Charles, the "shooting star" in the distance disappeared into the black silhouette in the distance.

The figure in the distance began to tremble. Charles immediately became alert and stared at the scene in the distance.

Without any warning, Charles suddenly discovered that in addition to his own eyes, he had an extremely special three-dimensional perspective.

He saw his other body, which was a huge pool. The square pool was filled with not only water, but also a giant brain soaking in the pool. The surface of the water was covered with brain folds filled with blood vessels.

Transparent optical fibers were inserted from all sides of the transparent pool and connected to the things in the pool. At the end of the optical fibers were strange devices made of machinery, energy, flesh, and plants. The Foundation's clones were working diligently on these devices.

A huge amount of knowledge instantly poured into his brain. He knew that thing was the central computer. He even knew the purpose of those machines and the number of each clone.

The powerful data and even more powerful will of the central computer almost completely assimilated Charles in an instant. Everything in his mind was not worth mentioning in front of the central computer.

However, just when he was about to lose track of whether he was Charles or the central computer, without any warning, the blood in the pool began to boil and the tiny blood vessels all over the folds began to burst.

With a loud explosion, the entire pool burst open, and white brain matter completely submerged everything around it.
