Shrouded Seascape

Chapter 783: A2

When Charles came to his senses again, he found himself back in the Governor's Palace on Hope Island, where a group of people were surrounding him and looking at him nervously.

"What's the situation over there?" Anna asked, her hands on her hips.

Charles quickly switched the perspective to the spider eyeball at SITE2. When he discovered that there was a power outage on the other side, an ecstatic expression appeared on his face. The plan was successful.

But the next second, Charles' heart skipped a beat. How could such a powerful foundation be solved so easily? Years of exploration made Charles feel that things were not that simple.

Now he needed to confirm it carefully. The next second he controlled the spider eyeball that was staying in the SITE2 Foundation to jump onto the shoulder of the captain of the Deabimon Mobile Task Force.

"Let's go out and check the current situation of the Foundation."

Deya pointed to Tuba, who was sitting on the bedroom floor next to him, and asked, "What about him?"

"Ignore him, let him stay here." Charles controlled his eyes and looked at the dark window next to him.

When they got outside, Captain Deya immediately contacted his team members through the radio, but he quickly pressed a few buttons on the headset, turned his head and said to Charles on his shoulder: "The battery is out, and the others can't be contacted. How did you do it?"

At this moment, there was a whistling sound overhead. Charles looked up suddenly and saw a huge black shadow flying past quickly. It was a bottle of Pad.

"Don't ask so many questions. Let's go to restricted area 19 where A2 is imprisoned." The enemy this time is the Foundation. Charles feels that no matter how careful he is now, it is not too much. He must minimize the risk.

Deya nodded with a serious expression. He pulled the collar of his windbreaker and walked through the other clones who were standing there in confusion, not knowing what was going on.

Soon they arrived at the destination. In the dim light, the armed Mobile Task Force members surrounded Restricted Area 19 tightly.

"Do you want to come in? I can sneak in now." Deya opened his windbreaker and showed the code on his chest.

"There's a power outage now, so there must be chaos inside. Let's go in and take a look, and find a chance to rescue A2!"

"Yeah." Deya grabbed Charles and stuffed him into his eye sockets, then walked towards the wall of people.

As a member of the Mobile Task Force, Deya's identity was very useful. He was quickly recruited as a member of the temporary guard team. In the darkness, no one noticed that one of his eyes was gone.

Charles had already learned from A2 where she was being held, and he was crawling on the ceiling toward that place.

But as the distance got closer, a huge wall that looked to be at least one meter thick stood in front of him. It was obvious that if an accident happened, the Foundation would not hesitate and would directly and violently seal everything inside from a physical level.

Charles originally wanted to ask Shanshan to call Linda over. To deal with this purely physical defense, both her gastric juice and absorption ability were very restrained.

Just as Charles was using the spider silk to move, the steel wall in the distance slowly rose up and A2 walked out from it.

As she came out, she immediately noticed Charles on the ceiling. Behind the round frame were sharp eyes. "Charles, this is a rare opportunity! Follow me! We must take control of the entire SITE2 immediately."

When A2 saw Charles jumping onto his shoulders, he quickly put away the light source and moved forward by feeling the wall in the darkness.

She seemed to be very familiar with this place, and soon she broke through the blockade into a ventilation duct.

Coming to a busy street, A2 quickly entered a tall building, and after several turns, he came to a dark room full of screens. The surroundings were full of strange devices superimposed on each other that Charles could not understand at all.

"Don't worry. The Foundation has a plan for when the central computer is attacked. They didn't restore the power immediately because they were observing the attacker, to see if it was a god from Earthsea or someone else."

A2 took off her clothes while speaking. Only then did Charles realize that her body was covered with various sockets. She pulled out wires from under the screen and inserted them into her body, making crisp clicking sounds.

Charles felt that this scene was extremely absurd when he thought that the robot would be influenced by Ftan and even believe in evil gods.

"There are many things in Earthsea that are more powerful than us. We have been deliberately hiding them. If we really can't hide them anymore, sometimes playing dead is an effective strategy."

"There are 30 seconds left. Once the red alert is lifted, the backup central computer will be connected to the Internet immediately. We must tamper with its underlying protocol while it takes over the Foundation's data."

Charles stood there calmly, carefully observing A2's every move. "Are you sure you can do it?"

A2 showed a hint of confidence on his face. "Of course, because it was created by me and my team. As long as I control the backup system, the entire foundation will be under my control!"

As soon as she finished speaking, everything around her suddenly became bright, and the power of SITE2 was restored!

Then, various transparent screens around instantly dropped green data like a waterfall, and A2, which was plugged with various cables, stood in place and twitched violently.

As time passed, Charles began to smell a burning odor, as if something was burnt.

Sparks burst out from A2's body, and her face showed a trace of pain and anxiety. "Damn it! My clone is trying to stop me! Just a little bit more! Just a little bit more! Charles! I don't care what method you use! Go and attract their attention immediately! Go! This is your last chance!"

Charles quickly pulled out a thin thread from his abdomen and was about to quickly draw a portrait of his daughter, intending to teleport himself over.

But just when he was about to finish the painting, Charles suddenly stopped and calmly looked at A2 in front of him who was twitching more and more violently.

"The central computer has been destroyed. I think this is a good result. I like to stop while I am ahead, so let it be."

A2 looked at the spider not far away in disbelief, and said with a trembling voice: "Do you know what you are talking about? You will kill us all!!"

"In fact, only you died, and I just lost an eyeball." Charles quickly drew these Earthsea words on the table with spider silk.

The next second, A2's trembling body suddenly froze. The crowded small houses around him quickly blurred, and the surrounding walls collapsed outwards. In an instant, the dazzling white welding light shone in.

The scenery outside them was not the same as before, but a completely sealed space. Three extremely tall Paids stood next to him, and there were also various high-tech devices of different sizes pointing directly at him.

Behind the glass not far away were the GK members who had fought with him several times. They were all looking at him silently.

It was obvious that everything was fake and it was just a trap set by the GK Council to lure Charles over.

If Charles really teleported himself, he would be ambushed by the other party, and the deterrence to them would disappear.

"How did you find out? There is no flaw in everything." The voice of k9 Crow Head instantly resounded throughout the space.

“Swish.” Charles’ spider silk drew a line of words on the ground. “In fact, I haven’t discovered your conspiracy. I just think the risk is too high.”

"After all, in this matter, you can lose to me many times, and you can afford it, but as long as you win me once, we will all be finished."
