Shrouded Seascape

Chapter 830: crack

Views:

Charles came to the bottom of the elevator shaft. As soon as he arrived at this noisy place, he was stopped by a young man from the elevator entrance next to him.

He was holding a jar full of liquid in his hands, with a nose ring. "Dear Governor, I was just about to come to you. Is this what you are looking for?"

Hearing this, Charles suddenly perked up and quickly reached out to take the jar.

With a gentle shake, a semicircular skull appeared and disappeared in the brown liquid with ice chips.

The wax-sealed bottle cap was pried open, and just when the boy was about to ask if there was any way to tell the authenticity, he saw the Governor of Hope Island stretch out his iron hand to fish out the skull inside, wipe it twice with his hand, and put it directly on his head.

After closing his eyes and feeling it for a while, Charles took the skull down with a disappointed look on his face. "No, it's too big. This skull is not mine. Where did you get it from?"

The young man was stunned for a second before he reacted, and hurriedly took the governor towards the distant slope.

After walking along the crooked slope for a few minutes, Charles and the boy came to a dilapidated specimen room.

The bottles and jars inside were either broken or frozen. There were several people standing in the specimen room, carefully cleaning out the specimen jars. This place really looked like a place where skulls would be stored.

"There's no need to be so careful. It's okay if the bone is broken. As long as we find it, it'll be fine."

005 just needs everything she has lost. She doesn't stipulate that it must be intact. It doesn't matter if the skull is broken into several pieces, as long as it is found.

Completely transparent tentacles quickly rose from the ground, constantly waving at everything frozen around them, and glass fragments and broken ice flew everywhere.

With such rough movements, the search was quick and soon the entire specimen room was cleared out.

After carefully examining the various specimen jars, unfortunately Charles' skull was not there, but interestingly, he found other parts of his body here.

Charles half-knelt down and looked at the bottles in front of him. Inside the bottles, several pieces of meat wrapped in ice appeared in front of him.

Those were the flesh and blood samples of his other organs that were cut off by the doctor after he was captured by the Foundation.

Charles didn't recognize the other things, but he recognized the big piece of liver. He saw it leave his body with his own eyes.

The Foundation later mixed these things with other things to create many monsters on the plant island.

Charles ordered the explorers next to him to take these things with them. Since 005 said he wanted everything he had lost, these things should be included.

In order to facilitate carrying, these organ fragments were placed in a jar. When shaken slightly, the flesh and blood swayed left and right with the preservative liquid, making it look like a can of iced broth.

Charles returned to the elevator shaft with the can. He looked at the SITE6 map to determine his current location, then walked over to the engineering team that was blasting the ice in the elevator shaft and asked, "How long will it take to get to the bottom?"

The man, whose lips turned purple from the cold, shouted loudly: "Report to the Governor! Because the space is small and the ice gets harder as we go down, we are currently unable to infer the specific situation below, so we cannot give an exact time!"

"It doesn't have to be very accurate, just give a rough estimate."

"Under the 24-hour rotation system, unless there are other special circumstances, it will take at least 10 days!"

When Charles heard that it would take so long, a hint of annoyance appeared on his face, but he didn't rush anything. Let it take longer.

He held the jar in his hand and climbed up the rope ladder.

Jumping down was fast but climbing up was slow. After walking with his head down for about five minutes, Charles found himself at the elevator entrance where he had browsed the computer before.

Looking at the cold door, Charles thought for a moment and then jumped over. He took out the black thorn from the palm of his prosthetic limb and planned to scratch it aside as a warning.

Just as he was about to finish writing, Charles subconsciously glanced inside and became suspicious.

The mirror on the wall was covered with ice again, and the computer he had used not long ago was also wrapped in ice.

"Is that mirror the source of the entire SITE6 being frozen?" Charles thought of this and immediately became alert, carefully approaching the mirror.

Along with the sound of breaking glass, ice cubes on the wall fell to the ground, and the black mirror appeared in front of Charles again.

Charles thought about it, pulled the spider out of his eye socket and threw it onto the mirror. The hairy spider legs rubbed rapidly against the mirror surface.

When that unique touch appeared in Charles' perception, he suddenly thought of something. A bright arc lit up in the air, and there was a new light source, but the inside of the mirror was still dark. It was not a mirror!

Charles took two quick steps, raised his steel prosthesis and smashed it hard. Pieces flew everywhere and the dark mirror surface was covered with cracks.

"This is not a mirror, this is a circular hole covered with ice! The ice in the entire room is spreading from this hole!"

Just at this moment, that inexplicable feeling of being watched appeared again. The source of the feeling came from behind the round hole covered with solid ice. There was something inside the ice staring at him.

Charles quickly pushed aside the cracked ice, and in the dark depths of the ice, he saw several curved white cracks.

At a glance, those marks look like the fractured marks of solid ice.

But if you look closely, you can see their general outlines, which are a bit like humans.

That feeling of being watched comes from those cracks.

Whatever it was, since it was watching, they must be intelligent.

Seeing them, Charles felt a strong sense of uneasiness in his heart. Before, he thought that the entire SITE6 was very safe because the entire site had turned into a big block of ice and other things could not get in at all.

But what if something could move inside the ice

Charles rushed to the elevator shaft as fast as he could and shouted to everyone up and down: "Everyone! Get out of this place now! Now!"

As Sodom sounded a shrill warning, the entire elevator shaft was filled with people, and they quickly climbed the rope ladder towards the exit.

Faced with the unknown existence, Charles felt a strong sense of uneasiness in his heart, especially when he returned to the cave entrance and saw that the cracks deep in the ice no longer existed.

"Ah!!!" A scream came from above the elevator entrance. When Charles turned his head, he found a man wearing a mining hat falling downwards.

The transparent tentacles quickly stretched out and rescued the man. When Charles returned to the elevator entrance, he was shocked to find that the ice around the elevator entrance was covered with those human-shaped cracks he had seen before! !

Sorry sorry, I'm too busy today.
