Yang Qi came back to his senses and looked at the old man in front of him. He said in a deep voice, "From what I know, the strength of the dragon clan is far greater than yours. Moreover, although the monster clan has not had many conflicts with the human race above the Martial King Realm, there have been many fights below the Martial King Realm. Why did you choose not to intervene in this war?"
Regardless of the grudges between the two sides or the leadership of the Dragon Clan, the monsters living in the Sky Star Region seemed to have no reason not to intervene in this matter! Therefore, when the monsters said they would not intervene in this matter, Yang Qi naturally could not completely believe it.
Although Xuangui had done him a favor, this time it involved a war between two star fields and the life and death of billions of lives. How could he easily believe the words of the old man in front of him
“Although there are some conflicts between the monster race and the human race, it is not a life-and-death feud. In fact, the human race and the monster race in the Cangkong star field have been living in peace.” The old man said calmly.
After hearing this explanation, Yang Qi was noncommittal. If it was just for this reason that the old man in front of him refused the order of the dragon clan and did not interfere in this war, it would be a bit unreasonable.
"In fact, our demon beast clan in the Sky Star Region is very inferior to the dragon clan in terms of strength and status, even for us dragon clan members." The old man sighed and continued, "Usually, the dragon clan simply ignores us. We have already formed an alliance spontaneously, and this time the decision was made by the top leaders of the entire alliance together."
“The Futian Demon Sect has already gained the upper hand. If the Dragon Clan joins the battle, the Cangqiong Palace will not be able to resist.” Yang Qi said in a deep voice.
The reasons given by the old man are similar to the analysis of Tang Qin and the others. However, once the dragon clan joins the war, the Futian Demon Sect is almost certain to win. In this case, the old man and others still do not intervene in the war. This is definitely not explained by their own marginalization and low status.
Upon hearing this, the old man immediately smiled bitterly and said, "Brother Yang, have you ever thought about what the result would be if we joined the war?"
What is the result
Yang Qi was stunned, but he didn't understand why the old man would say such a thing.
"All of our clansmen live in the Cang Qiong star field. Once a war breaks out, we may be able to catch the Cang Qiong Palace by surprise in a short period of time. But once the Cang Qiong Palace reacts, the entire monster clan in the Cang Qiong star field will be finished. Do you think the Cang Qiong Palace will let us, a traitor, go?" The old man looked at Yang Qi and said.
this…
Hearing this, Yang Qi fell silent. Once the old man and others joined the battle, the monster clan would be finished, and the Cang Qiong Palace would definitely take the lead in clearing out the internal unstable factors.
Perhaps the old man and his people could escape, but what about their clansmen? The status of the demon beast clan in the Cangqiong star field was not high in the dragon clan, and the resources they had were limited. The martial king realm was far from comparable to the Cangqiong Palace. Once they made a move, the Cangqiong Palace would definitely deal with them with thunderous means.
At that time, the agreement between the two races will definitely be invalidated, and a life-and-death battle comparable to a racial war will break out, but this time the human race will have an overwhelming advantage!
Once the war starts, even if the dragon clan wins in the end, the old man and others will become lonely and rootless, and their status in the dragon clan will only be lower.
To put it bluntly, once they join the war, the monster clan in the Sky Star Domain will be cannon fodder, so the old man and others naturally don't want to do that!
If they do not participate in the war, even if the Dragon Clan and the Futian Demon Sect win together in the end, they will not be too embarrassed. If the Cangqiong Palace wins, they will not be purged even if they did not participate in the war.
To join the war is to risk one's life, while not to join the war is to have no loss of opportunity. Anyone would know what to choose!
Yang Qi's eyes narrowed as he looked at the old man and said, "You are quite calculating. You are actually using this war to preserve your own power!"
Not participating in the war will bring many benefits to the old man and others. No matter who wins in the end, they can preserve their strength and increase their voice in the dragon clan!
“We have no choice but to do this. Even if we have the ability to protect ourselves, I will not support going to war with the human race in the Cangkong Star Region.” The old man sighed.
"Why is that?"
Yang Qi was stunned. He could tell that the old man's words were his true thoughts, but because of this, he became even more curious.
"Because of you." The old man looked at Yang Qi and said.
"I?"
Yang Qi was stunned, looking at the old man in front of him with an incredible face. Although he was at the Martial Emperor level, his cultivation was only a one-star Martial Emperor. No matter the Futian Demon Sect or the Dragon Clan, or even the mysterious existence hidden behind them, they were not something Yang Qi could deal with. The old man was not going to join the battle because of him
The old man looked at Yang Qi with a complicated expression and said, "To be precise, it's because you and your master, the Great Emperor Wu Shi, are from the same lineage."
Master
Yang Qi's eyes fixed, and he looked at the old man and asked, "Have you met my master?"
"Not only have we met, but we have also communicated for a while." The old man nodded slightly and continued, "The Great Emperor Wu Shi is the most terrifying practitioner I have ever seen. Now that he has reached the Martial Emperor realm, who dares to underestimate his future achievements? The Sky Star Region is his hometown. If he occupies this place, there is no guarantee that he will not retaliate against your master. In fact, this is also the fundamental reason why the Dragon Clan has been hesitant."
this…
Yang Qi smiled bitterly in his heart. He had forgotten the deterrent power of a Martial Emperor on the nearby star fields. The Futian Demon Sect dared to start a war because they knew the confidence behind them, but the Dragon Clan was different. Although the Dragon Clan had the entire Dragon Clan behind them, if they provoked a Martial Emperor, the Dragon Clan, which only had the Martial Emperor in charge, would inevitably suffer huge losses.
“Although I don’t know why the Futian Demon Sect dared to go to war with the Cangqiong Palace, this war has already involved the level of Martial Emperor, and it is not something we can interfere with.” The old man said with a wry smile.
On the one hand, he would be used as cannon fodder, and even if he won in the end, he might still provoke a strong man in the Martial Emperor realm. On the other hand, he would merely offend the dragon clan and at most suffer some criticism. It goes without saying what choice to make.
Following the old man's words, Yang Qi also understood the key, and no longer doubted the intention of the monster clan in the Sky Star Domain not to intervene in this battle.
Yang Qi looked at the old man, frowned slightly and said, "Since you don't plan to intervene in this battle, you can just send someone to inform the Cang Qiong Palace. Why did you come to me?"
Although Yang Qi has reached the Martial Emperor realm, he is only the Martial Emperor of Zichen Continent. The war is still led by the Cangqiong Palace. The old man represents the monster clan, and the major event involving so many creatures and powerful people should be discussed directly with the Cangqiong Palace.
“I will send someone to notify the Cang Qiong Palace. Compared with the Cang Qiong Palace, we want to let the lineage of Emperor Wu Shi know our decision more.” The old man looked at Yang Qi and said.
Although the Sky Palace is powerful, the strongest practitioner is only at the Martial Emperor level, and is no match for the Great Emperor Wu Shi. In fact, the Sky Star Domain lineage led by the old man is not afraid of the Sky Palace at all, because as long as they don't take action, the Sky Palace will not take the initiative to deal with them.
