Um
Hearing this, Yang Qi's eyes lit up. Pang Xuan had said before that the insect tomb was very dangerous, but also contained great opportunities. The so-called great opportunities were the corpses of insect beasts. After all, the most common thing in the insect tomb was the corpses of insect beasts.
It’s just that the corpses of insect beasts are usually guarded by restrictions, and practitioners cannot obtain them by force. But unlike the two areas that Yang Qi and his companions passed through before, the restrictions in the insect tomb will not exist forever. When the restrictions disappear, it is the best time for practitioners to obtain the corpses of insect beasts.
"The corpse of a Martial Emperor Realm insect beast!"
There was a gleam of brilliance in Yang Qi's eyes, and he felt a little excited. Although the dark beetle had devoured the corpses of Martial Emperor-level practitioners, it had never devoured the corpses of Martial Emperor-level insect beasts.
Insect beasts at the Martial Emperor level are much rarer than practitioners at the Martial Emperor level. After all, it is more difficult for insect beasts to grow and evolve to the Martial Emperor level than for practitioners. In addition, the number of practitioners among insect beasts is not as large as that of ordinary practitioners, so they are naturally difficult to obtain.
If it were possible to obtain the corpse of a Martial Emperor-level insect beast that could help the Dark Beetle, it would definitely be of great help to the Dark Beetle's evolution and growth to the Martial Emperor level!
"Check around." Yang Qi said quickly.
Whoosh~ Whoosh~
Immediately, Yang Qi and Pang Xuan began to investigate around. The restricted information on the corpses of insect beasts would not only attract practitioners who entered the insect tomb, but would also attract some insect beasts that originally lived in the insect tomb, such as the soul-eating insect that had attacked Pang Xuan before.
“That’s it!”
Yang Qi's face suddenly changed as he looked around, and a hint of joy flashed in his eyes. He did not notice any signs of the restrictions on the corpses of insects and beasts disappearing, but he sensed the soul-eating insect that had attacked Pang Xuan before.
The Soul-Eating Insect came for the insect beast corpse. At this time, it was hiding underground, obviously waiting for the restriction to disappear. Once it noticed the location of the Soul-Eating Insect, it naturally found the location of the insect beast corpse.
"There!"
Yang Qi's gaze focused and looked towards the place where the Soul-Eating Insect was hiding. He immediately found the corpse of a gray-green strange insect. It was an insect beast that looked like a mantis, but exuded a metallic luster.
Realizing this, Yang Qi immediately sent a message to Pang Xuan. Since the two of them were traveling together, he naturally had no intention of keeping the treasure for himself. Moreover, Pang Xuan knew more about insects and beasts than he did, so he was able to judge the true value of the insect and beast corpses.
Whoosh~
A moment later, Pang Xuan, who had received a message from Yang Qi, rushed over and asked, "You found it so quickly, are you sure?"
“I’m not sure, but I sensed the soul-eating insect that attacked you before.” Yang Qi shook his head and smiled bitterly. He had sensed the restrictions on the insect corpse and didn’t find anything unusual. He just judged through the soul-eating insect.
Upon hearing this, Pang Xuan showed a happy expression and said, "That should be correct. Soul Devouring Insects live in the Insect Tomb and are much more familiar with the changes in the Insect Tomb than we are."
He did not sense the existence of the Soul-Eating Bug. It was obvious that the Soul-Eating Bug was hiding very deeply. However, he naturally had no doubts about Yang Qi's words. In this case, the Soul-Eating Bug's target was most likely the gray-green insect beast.
"What kind of insect beast is that?" Yang Qi looked at the insect beast corpse in the restriction.
Pang Xuan's eyes fell on the corpse of the insect beast. He thought for a while before speaking, "If I'm not mistaken, it should be the Green-striped Mantis, an insect beast that is good at killing and destroying, and its body is also very powerful."
There are some differences between the green-striped mantis in front of him and the one in Pang Xuan's memory, but the difference is not big. Even if they are the same insect beast, there will be some differences due to different training methods and even different talents and potentials. Therefore, judging the type of insect beast is mainly based on more obvious characteristics. It does not mean that only insect beasts that are exactly the same can be considered the same type of insect beast.
Just like the dark beetle in Yang Qi's hand and the snow jade beetle in the Snow Jade Palace, they are of the same kind, but with slightly different talents, potential and bloodlines.
"An insect beast that is good at destruction and killing?"
Yang Qi frowned. The insect beast in front of him was obviously not suitable for the dark beetle. The dark beetle was relatively good at the soul and the body.
Pang Xuan looked at the frowning Yang Qi, not knowing what he was thinking, and immediately said, "There are many kinds of insect beasts in the insect tomb, and many of them are good at souls. Brother Yang, don't worry. In fact, the previous soul-eating insects were more good at souls."
Yang Qi nodded with a wry smile. He naturally had no doubts about the types of insects and beasts in the insect tomb. After all, he had seen quite a few insects and beasts along the way, and there must be insect and beast corpses suitable for dark beetles.
"Soul-eating insect!"
Yang Qi sighed in his heart. The Soul-Eating Insect was a good choice, but the Soul-Eating Insect's body was extremely strong and it could easily escape into the ground. It was not so easy for him to kill the Soul-Eating Insect, otherwise he would not have been able to escape so easily before.
Buzz~
At this moment, the restriction covering the green-striped mantis trembled slightly, and its power began to weaken rapidly.
“It’s really here!”
Although because of the soul-eating insects, Yang Qi and Pang Xuan both believed that the insect corpses in front of them were the opportunity for the upcoming birth, but they were not able to be completely certain until the power of the restriction weakened.
Pang Xuan's eyes fixed, and he said in a deep voice, "Brother Yang, Xiao Lu and I will stop the Soul Devouring Insect later, and you go collect the corpse of the Green-Striped Demon Mantis."
As he was speaking, the green beetle had already flown out of Pang Xuan's body. The soul-eating insect was quite powerful and Pang Xuan was not sure he could deal with it alone.
"Leave the Soul Devouring Bug to me." Yang Qi shook his head slightly and continued, "The Green-Striped Mantis's corpse seems to be more suitable for Xiaolu. You just need to collect the corpse."
"Brother Yang, you just saved me, and you were the one who discovered the corpse of this insect beast." Pang Xuan said hurriedly.
Pang Xuan also knew that the corpse of the green-striped mantis was more suitable for Xiao Lu to devour, but the two had already agreed that each would get the opportunity based on his own ability. Yang Qi had just rescued him, and the location of the restriction was also discovered by Yang Qi, so Pang Xuan no longer had the intention to compete, and took the initiative to stop the soul-devouring insect. Of course, this does not mean that Pang Xuan gave up the corpse of the green-striped mantis. He planned to trade with Yang Qi afterwards, but he did not expect Yang Qi to give it to him on his own initiative.
“I’m not giving it to you for nothing. If you encounter insect or beast carcasses suitable for dark beetles to devour next time, you have to give them to me.” Yang Qi said with a calm smile.
If it was the corpse of an insect or beast suitable for the dark beetle to devour, Yang Qi would definitely not take the initiative to give it up. However, the corpse of the green-striped mantis was not suitable for the dark beetle. Instead, it was suitable for the insect or beast in Pang Xuan's hands. Naturally, there was no need for him to do so. It would be better to do Pang Xuan a favor directly.
"Thank you!"
Pang Xuan said with gratitude, Xiao Lu had burned his own essence to help him before, and he felt extremely guilty. Now there was a corpse of a Martial Emperor Realm insect beast suitable for Xiao Lu to devour, so he would naturally not give up. (To be continued)
